Propagation Committee Meeting: Seed Collecting and Set up

  • Tecolote Nature Center 5180 Tecolote Road San Diego, CA, 92110 United States (map)

As we head into the summer months, the propagation committee will have two meetings each month, continuing with our seasonal summer agenda. Our plan is to get more seeds collected in Tecolote canyon for restoration in the TriCanyon area (Tecolote & coastal canyons, San Clemente Canyon, Rose Canyon, and the Mission Valley Park Preserve), start the Bladderpod (Peritoma arborea) and Santa Barbara milkvetch (Astragalus trichopodus var. lonchus) in pots, get the water timers and misting chamber situated at the nursery, and  plant more flats in the nursery for 2024 restoration!

On July 25th, we’ll talk about summer watering and compare shade screening. We’ll have a hands on demonstration for potting up rose pots and 4” pots into gallons and gallons to five gallon pots.

Please email propagation@cnpssd.org if you are interested in helping out with Propagation.
