ANNUAL PLANT SALES
California Native Plant Society-San Diego Chapter Plant Sale The largest native plant sale in San Diego County with about 300 species of trees, shrubs, perennials, seeds, and bulbs. Horticultural information on each species is available, as well as books and posters. Casa del Prado in Balboa Park. The Fall Plant Sale is usually held the second weekend of October.
NURSERIES
The number of retail nurseries that feature California natives varies from time to time. In addition to the establishments listed below, other nurseries grow and stock more limited choices of native plants. Be aware that nurseries that feature California native plants may also sell other non-native plants. There may be inaccuracies in some lists of California native plants, and if in doubt check species on the Calflora website or the San Diego Plant Atlas Project website.
