Volunteer for the CNPS-San Diego Garden Tour 2020

Would you like to attend this year’s garden tour for free by participating as a docent? We’re looking for docent volunteers to join us on Saturday, April 4th, for a 4-hour shift. There are morning and afternoon shifts available, and the tour includes 12 gardens.

As a volunteer you will get to enjoy the Garden Tour during the hours outside your shift. As an added benefit, you can receive one additional Tour ticket to share with a family member or friend.

You don’t need expert plant knowledge for this—all it takes is greeting attendees as they arrive, being a friendly face, and telling visitors about the special features in the garden where you are posted. You may be asked to help with parking assistance at a couple of the gardens with limited parking.

We ask that new docents join us for ONE morning of training on either Wednesday, March 18, or Saturday, March 21, from 10 AM-12:30 PM. These training sessions are not only informative, but will also give you a chance to preview a few of this year’s gardens, catch up with CNPS buddies (or meet new ones), and have lunch on us!

NOTE: Returning docents are welcome to attend a docent training, view gardens, and join us for lunch, too.

If you’d like to volunteer, please fill out the form below and submit.

If you are unable to volunteer, we invite you to come enjoy the tour: PURCHASE TICKETS
