School and Urban Gardens: This CNPS website has ideas for creating a school garden with California native plants. At that link you can learn about grant programs and download PDFs of “Southern California Native Plants for School and Urban Gardens” and “Native Plant Gardens for Schools and Urban Areas: A Survival Guide” by Betsey Landis, a downloadable book written for teachers and school garden educators and planners. Anyone can download all or parts of the book for free from CNPS Chapter websites.
