Prepare to be inspired as you discover 25 of the region's best native gardens. This two-day self-guided tour gives you exclusive access to 25 unique home gardens, private nature parks, art gardens, restoration landscapes, and public botanical gardens throughout San Diego County. Check out these great examples.

San Diego is a world biodiversity hotspot containing a treasure trove of garden-worthy plants. Gardens showcased on this tour reflect historical styles as well as aesthetics unique to our regional ecosystem, and are designed by landscape architects, landscape designers, master gardeners, and garden enthusiasts. The tour also features on-site lectures by local native landscape designers and expert docents who will be on hand to interpret every garden.

Register on this website and then come to the Marketplaces with your photo I.D. to pick up your garden map-books and special discounts before heading out to the gardens. Each tour day starts with a Marketplace where last minute registrations can be purchased (cash and checks only when in person) as well as gourmet breakfast, native plants, gardening books, t-shirts, bird and bat boxes, and other fun stuff.

Native Garden Tour Co-chair and sustainable horticultural expert, Nan Sterman, will be at the Marketplace on both days to sign her books and answer your gardening questions.
