Recycle and Raise money for CNPS

Do you have stacks of empty one-gallon cans along the side of your house? Wondering what to do with all those empty pots? You now have three options, (count them 3)

1. Bring them to Las Pilitas Nursery 8331 Nelson Way, Escondido, CA 92026 Google Map it! (www.laspilitas.com) and CNPS gets 10 cents for every pot dropped off. Because so many members have responded to this effort - we have raised almost a thousand dollars. These funds raised go towards education and conservation of native plants and their habitats.

2. Bring them to the Tecolote Nature Center at 5180 Tecolote Rd San Diego, CA 92110,(858) 581-9952. You can stack them neatly to the side of the front door if the nature center is closed.
Click here for directions to Tecolote Nature Center
Google Map it!
CNPS will then transport the pots from Tecolote to Las Pilitas.

New Option 3. Bring them to the Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center 2202 S. Coast Highway Oceanside, CA 92054, 760-439-2473. Google Map it! You can stack them neatly to the side of the potting bench area which is next to the dumpsters. If the gate is locked - park at the gate and walk the pots over - its only a few steps. Or call them or visit their website. website is bvaudubon.org. A CNPS volunteer will then transport the pots to Las Pilitas.

If you'd like to volunteer to be an "empty pot transporter" - please e-mail info@cnpssd.org

Rules for dropping off pots: this program is for EMPTY one, five, and 15 gallon plastic pots. Ensure there is no trash in your pots and no cracks or tears. If the pots are not useable you can put them out in your curbside recycling.

Thanks to everyone who has dropped off empty pots already!
